HEALTH CARE ACCESS

Adult Health
People who are working do not always get adequate benefits; there are many in our community who work and yet have inadequate health care, or none at all. The goal of the Adult Health program is to link these low-income adults with private health care professionals and other available resources. Adults living in Fairfax County, the City of Fairfax and the City of Falls Church are eligible to participate in this program. Services provided include sick visits, physicals, laboratory tests, pharmacy services and dental exams.

Medical Care for Children Partnership (MCCP)
Parents work hard to give their children everything they want - a new toy, item of clothing, a pet. What may mean little to young children, but will have everything to do with their future success, is quality health care. Our health access programs have seen great success this year, negotiating with private health care providers so that many children in our community will be assured a healthy beginning. MCCP is a partnership led by the Fairfax County Office of Partnerships.

Partnership for Healthier Kids (PHK)/Healthlink
PHK Assists low-income families with children in Fairfax and Loudoun counties and the City of Alexandria to find affordable health care services for their children. Services include eligibility screening, information and referral services, and assistance in applying for Medicaid, FAMIS and other safety-net health care services. PHK is led by Inova Health System with participation from the Fairfax County Public Schools.
