Early Head Start
NVFS Early Head Start provides free services to pregnant women and parents of children ages 0-3 years old in both a home and center environment. Home visits are made on a weekly basis by specially-trained Family Support Workers. NVFS Early Head Start offers home based and center based programs in the following areas: Arlington, Loudoun, Prince William and Manassas.
The NVFS Head Start Arlington program provides comprehensive child development services to economically disadvantaged children age three to five and their families, with a special focus on helping preschoolers develop the early reading and math skills they need to be successful in school. Head Start is a national program that promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families.
