parents from culturally diverse backgrounds are recruited and
receive intensive specialized training. Northern Virginia Family
Service foster care workers provide foster families, children
and biological families
much-needed support, training and encouragement.

SPRING 2008 TRAINING |
| A
spring training class is planned for those interested
in becoming foster/respite parents. The five-part training
sessions will be held April 9 to May 7. Meetings are from
6:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Wednesday evenings, and from 9:30
AM to 5:30 PM on Saturdays at the NVFS
Office in Oakton, VA. Participants will learn how
to support children with special needs, among other topics.
