Back-to-School Drive

We know school just let out for summer, but that doesn’t stop us from gearing up for the 2017-18 school year! Our Back-to-School drive is now accepting donations and supplies that will ensure local children in need can start off the school year successfully.

For every $1 donated by July 27, we will be able to purchase $2 worth of supplies.

“Camp Discovery” Impacts Children of SERVE and Hilda Barg Shelters
Camp Discovery at Hilda Barg and SERVE Shelters

Going to summer camp is a rite of passage for most children, but not every child gets this opportunity. This is particularly so for homeless kids, so with support from volunteers, we brought Camp Discovery to them at both the Hilda Barg and SERVE shelters!

As the kids enjoy summer camp, the campers’ parents can more efficiently search for jobs, arrange interviews, schedule appointments, and submit applications to move their family out of homelessness and into stable housing.
