NVFS Press Release

NVFS thanks BP Products North America and E.E. Wine for their generous gift of $6,500 in support of operations at our SERVE campus in Manassas.
In November 2009, NVFS expanded its capacity of housing and emergency services, including the operation of the largest emergency shelter and Food Distribution Center in the greater Prince William area, through the successful merger with SERVE, Inc. Since that time, NVFS has invested significantly in the SERVE campus.
The SERVE campus has developed a continuum of prevention services to assist families in reducing the barriers in attaining affordable housing that are prevalent in this region. Other programs offered at our SERVE campus continue to be developed and integrated. This integration creates a single facility that is able to perform intake, referral, and placement services for families along nearly the entire spectrum of need in Prince William County. We have integrated an Early Head Start classroom on site, to enrich children's early development while affording their parents the opportunity to seek and find work. We are expanding our family emergency shelter, and enhancing our on-site food services.
With regular support from donors like BP, NVFS is able to strategically address the most pressing needs of our community.
