Road to Independence Gala

This annual Gala is our signature event which serves as our largest and most well-attended fundraiser of the year. The business-professional event includes an extensive silent auction, a live auction, food & drink, testimonial speakers, and a short video presentation. CARE Awards

The CARE Awards encourage companies to institute family-friendly programs by exposing them to ideas and thoughtful discussions with business leaders who have already embraced such policies. Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) operates on its mission to empower individuals and families to improve their quality of life and to promote community cooperation and support in responding to family needs. NVFS is proud to extend its mission to the business community through the CARE Awards, which were developed in 1992 by NVFS and area business leaders, all of whom had a desire to affect positive change in the workplaces of Northern Virginia.
