Oakton,
Va., Sept. 29, 2006-About 100 golfers
came out for a memorable day of golf and camaraderie
while supporting children and families at
the Fifth Annual Golf Tournament on Sept.
28 at Stonewall Golf Club in Gainesville,
Va. The tournament raised nearly $45,000 for
NVFS programs.
"We
are grateful to all the companies and individuals
who generously supported the tournament. We
also were pleased that so many people were
able to take time out of their schedules to
join us for a wonderful day out on the links.
It was a meaningful afternoon that not only
raised revenue for important services, but
also generated awareness of the work that
NVFS does in the community where we all work
and live," said NVFS President and CEO
Mary Agee.

Tournament
attendees played a round of golf, participated
in silent and live auctions and enjoyed dinner
at the prestigious club. Funds raised by tournament
sponsorships will support NVFS programs that
teach, empower and encourage families to improve
their quality of life.
