Volunteer at Our Thrift Shops

Why Volunteer?

A great way to support Northern Virginia Family Service and our programs is by volunteering at one of our Clock Tower Thrift Shops. And we couldn't do it without you -volunteers are the success of the Clock Tower Thrift Shops.

What Should I expect when I volunteer?

Our Thrift Shop volunteers support the Thrift Shop managers and staff in day-to-day operations of the Thrift Shops to ensure a positive experience for shoppers and help ensure a reliable revenue source for NVFS.

Volunteer duties include:

• Sorting and organizing Thrift Shop donations

• Maintaining a clean and organized shopping area

• Setting up  and maintaining merchandise displays

• Assisting customers with their questions and purchases

Who can volunteer?

Thrift Shop volunteers must be at least 16 years old (Children ages 12-16 may volunteer with a parent/guardian).

When can I volunteer?

Are you looking for a weekend or evening volunteer opportunity? Our stores are open 7 days a week and open late! Volunteering at our Thrift Shops can be a great way to get out in the community as a group or an individual.

Volunteering at our Thrift Shops can also be a great team-building or group opportunity!
