Family Reunification

The Family Reunification Program serves minors who are being released from Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) custody to a sponsor and have some identified special need such as mental health diagnosis, suicidal ideation, trauma history, or lack of relationship with sponsor. The program provides case management to connect the family with local resources, assist the minor in adjusting to the home and country, provide psychoeducational support for the family as they reunite, and monitor safety concerns.

Eligibility

Unaccompanied minors in the custody of Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) who have been determined to have special needs warranting post release services.

Referral process

Referrals are made by LIRS or USCCB. Program cannot accept referrals from any other sources at this time.
