COVID-19 EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
Thank you for reaching out to Northern Virginia Family Service. We are committed to helping our neighbors today and tomorrow as we face the unprecedented COVID-19 health crisis.
Shortly after the pandemic spread throughout our region in March, NVFS launched the COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Fund to help cover costs related to housing, medical bills, child care, and other urgent needs for members of our community.
To date, we have received more than 1,000 requests, totaling more than $1.9 million. Unfortunately, this amount far exceeds the existing funds available.
As a result, NVFS has decided to temporarily suspend accepting new applications to the Emergency Assistance Fund.
If you have already submitted an online assistance request, we will continue to process your application, make funds available as possible and assist you navigating other available resources in your community.
If you are seeking assistance for the first time, we are unable to accept an application for financial assistance at this time.
We ask that you complete the brief survey below so that we may continue to monitor and plan for community need. If you need immediate financial or other assistance we ask you to please check with County resources where you reside:
