NVFS Honors 23 Outstanding CARE-ing Companies Through 26th Annual CARE Awards

Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) celebrates 23 Companies As Responsive Employers (CARE) Award winners and a special panel of industry leaders to spotlight community engagement strategies to engage top talent.

(Oakton, Va. – Sept. 26, 2018)  For more than 25 years, the Companies As Responsive Employers (CARE) Awards have recognized outstanding companies proactively making Northern Virginia a better place for everyone to work, live and play. The awards commend outstanding culture and employee engagement strategies, including innovative and sustained corporate social responsibility, among companies who strive to create best places to work across our region.

This year, NVFS will honor 23 outstanding companies as responsive employers for their deep community impact, outstanding employee engagement and culture, and progressive family-friendly policies. These companies give back, promote continued learning, and offer flexible work schedules, among many other great benefits, to help ensure the well-being of their employees, and attract and retain top talent.

2018 CARE Award Winners

CARE Award winners are selected based on their performance in the categories of community involvement and impact, health and wellness benefits, work-life policies and programs, and professional development.

“CARE Award winners are leaders in our community who are both inspirational and aspirational,” shares Stephanie Berkowitz, president and CEO at Northern Virginia Family Service. “They continue to show us through their actions and their values that our economy, our community and our bottom lines are strongest when we engage deeply both within our community and with our people.”

Awards will be presented at the 26th Annual CARE Awards Breakfast, held Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at the Sheraton Premiere Tysons Corner. Join us and this year’s esteemed panel as we spotlight impactful community engagement strategies developed by CARE-winning companies that align values with purpose and increase corporate productivity, employee pride and engagement.
