In recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Northern Virginia Family Services is hosting a Virtual Volunteer Summit on Wednesday, April 8, at 6:30 PM centered on the role and impact of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). This Zoom event will provide attendees with a clear understanding of what it means to be a CASA volunteer, and the life-changing difference advocates make in the lives of children navigating the family court system.

This is a wonderful opportunity to:

  • Engage in purpose-driven community service
  • Make a direct and lasting impact on the lives of vulnerable children
  • Strengthen your organization’s commitment to community involvement and social responsibility
  • Develop skills and familiarity with the legal system
  • Earn extensive volunteer hours
  • Explore other ways you can support our work, such as the CASA Ambassador program

CASA volunteers serve as consistent, caring adults for children who have experienced abuse or neglect, advocating for their best interests in court and beyond.

We would love to have you and your team join us and learn more about how they can get involved.

Note: The CASA program joined NVFS as part of a January 2025 merger with SCAN.
