Between volunteering at Head Start, supporting NVFS’ Road to Independence Gala and being a hands-on provider to our Training Futures program, Capital One’s involvement with NVFS over the years has grown into a valuable partnership.
Capital One’s involvement in ensuring everyone has the ability to achieve a lifetime of success has played a pertinent role in NVFS’ Training Futures program, particularly through Capital One’s Future Edge initiative, which empowers more Americans to succeed in the digital economy.
“NVFS’ Training Futures workforce development program perfectly aligns with Future Edge,” said Kai Evans of Capital One. “[Capital One’s] partnership with NVFS allows us to leverage financial resources and associate volunteer engagement to move the needle of opportunity economically disadvantaged and underemployed, high-potential adults.”
Capital One’s involvement with NVFS and particularly with Training Futures has provided an opportunity for NVFS’ clients to focus on their financial wellbeing and take strides toward achieving greater monetary and career stability by educating them on job interview etiquette, resume writing and even tech support.
“Capital One provides assistance to NVFS to address and mitigate a multitude of barriers to employment for people in the Northern VA community,” Evans added.
We’re thankful for the ongoing partnership from Capital One and its support in ensuring Training Futures’ trainees are setting themselves up for professional and financial success.
“Capital One understands the importance of helping people develop skills for the jobs of today and tomorrow, as well as take better control of their personal finances at all stages of their lives. Partnering with NVFS allows Capital One to collaborate with a leading DC-area community organization to address areas of critical need that impact individuals’ current and future ability to grow and prosper,” Evans concluded.
