Amy joined Northern Virginia Family Service through the merger with SCAN of Northern Virginia in January 2025. She originally joined SCAN in May 2017 and had been serving as SCAN’s Chief Executive Officer at the time of merger. Amy is a seasoned non-profit leader with an extensive history of advocating for at-risk youth and serving children and families within the Child Protective Services system due to abuse and neglect. With a comprehensive background in strategic visioning, team leadership, and collaborative problem-solving, Amy effectively guides teams through the complexities of the child welfare system. As a highly committed leader with outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, Amy is adept at building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profits, and community organizations.
Amy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University at Albany.
