You still have time: RSVP to join us this Sunday, April 9 from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. at the Gratitude Grille Volunteer Luncheon, featuring gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches compliments of Cabot Farmers Collective. RSVP here by this Friday!
Volunteers like you are integral to NVFS as we continue to create a stronger and healthier Northern Virginia community. Because of you:
A young child builds critical self-esteem as she learns to write the alphabet;
A family that has been sleeping in their car now has a safe place to call home;
A low-income senior continues to live independently because he has help paying his bills and balancing a tight budget;
The shelter walls are freshly painted in warm, calming colors and storage room supplies are organized, making it easy to find what we need; and
Our hard-working staff have myriad opportunities to hone workplace skills through pro-bono trainings and workshops.
Whether you volunteer once in a year or multiple times a week, your outpouring of generosity and your genuine compassion and empathy for others makes a world of difference in our community.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your tireless efforts!
Every April We Take Time to Celebrate You
