New Manassas City Scavenger Hunt to Benefit SERVE

(Oakton, Va., October 18, 2013)  Teams of up to five adults will have the chance to solve a variety of clues around Old Town Manassas on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, during the first annual Scavenger Hunt for SERVE, a new event sure to put the FUN in fundraiser.

Testing a team’s ability to solve clues and follow directions, make decisions and communicate, the scavenger hunt will also reward those who know their hometown.

Prizes will be awarded for fundraising performance (top team, top individual) and best team costume – as the event takes place just five days before Halloween.

In addition to the Old Town merchants participating, Dustin Overstreet, general manager of Gold’s Gym Manassas, has provided some of this year’s top prizes. All participants are invited to Malones for complimentary appetizers and drink specials, courtesy of owner Kevin Malone, when they finish the hunt.  A variety of raffle prizes will be awarded to round out the day.

Check-in for the Scavenger Hunt for SERVE begins at Harris Pavilion at 1 p.m.
