Hilda Barg Homeless Prevention Center
NVFS transitioned its operating role at the Hilda Barg Homeless Prevention Center to Prince William County on Oct. 29. Thank you to all of our volunteers and partners, especially the Cooperative Council of Ministries (CCoM), who has been actively assisting our neighbors in need in the Woodbridge community for more than 30 years.
We look forward to staying connected with you as we continue to deliver critical homeless, anti-hunger, early childhood education, and many other services to the community on our SERVE Campus and throughout the Greater Prince William Area. Last year, NVFS served more than 5,000 Prince William area households, including:
- Nearly 4,000 households, representing 10,500 people, specifically through the programs at our SERVE Campus, which include emergency shelter, food assistance, housing assistance and early childhood development, medication access and healthy Families
- More than 1,000 Prince William area residents through additional NVFS services throughout Northern Virginia, including immigration legal support, family reunification and workforce development training.
For inquiries about how you can support the Center, please contact Tony Turnage through Prince William County Department of Social Services at firstname.lastname@example.org or 703-792-8308.
