OAKTON, VA—July 2, 2009—Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS) is proud to welcome Deborah Hance, Senior Vice President and Area Executive at BB&T Bank, as the new Chair of our Board of Directors. Deborah has served on the Board of Directors since 2001. She also participates in the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce. Her involvement in the community on behalf of BB&T Bank has impacted many lives over the last decade.
Board Officers elected for FY2010 are Vice Chair Joe Fay of Northrop Grumman, Secretary Roberta Gosling of Booz Allen Hamilton, and Treasurer Kevin Gillen of TD Bank. Retiring directors include Daniel Lynch of the Washington Post, Myron Maslowski of Gannett/USA Today and Bob Duncan of Hogan & Hartson, LLP.
In addition to existing members beginning new two- and three-year terms, NVFS also welcomed new members Weetie Hill, Executive Vice President of Don Beyer Volvo, and Curt Buser, Chief Accounting Officer of The Carlyle Group.
